Simon Harris is a resource economist operating a consultancy from Christchurch. He has undertaken projects across a range of topics, including pest management, research management, evaluation and water management. This includes policy analysis, impact analysis and cost benefit analysis nationally and internationally.
Simon has been involved in a range of water management project since mid 1990s, ranging from catchment erosion management, floodplain management, setting minimum flows and allocation, reliability assessment, irrigation schemes, and latter nutrient limit setting.
He has been involved in a wide range of approaches to making decisions in water management, including the recent developments in collaborative governance in Canterbury.
