Guiding Principles for Air Quality Assessment Components of Environmental Impact Assessments (2017)
As a biophysical effect, impacts on air quality (AQ) are a central focus of many EIAs where significant air contaminants may be emitted from the proposed development; resultant studies are termed “air quality impact assessments,” or AQIAs. The scope of this document covers the prediction of resultant air quality levels—it does not include human health or ecological impact assessments, which themselves take input from the results of the AQIA.

Case Study: Integrated Strategic Environmental Assessment in post-earthquake Nepal 2015-2017 
ISEA is a tool that can be used both as a high level, long-term planning tool and also to fast track development in a post-conflict and post disaster situation while integrating conservation of environment and sustainable development with disaster and climate risk reduction. ​This lessons learnt report covers Nepal’s experience with ISEAs as an integrated approach to post-disaster/ post-crisis sustainable development planning with a focus on the road sector.

The report includes four regional review papers on EIA and monitoring in aquaculture in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America, a special study on EIA as applied to salmon aquaculture, as well as a global review and synthesis report which draw on the findings of the review papers, covering relevant information from more than 35 countries.
