New Zealand Association for Impact Assessment (NZAIA) offers up to five scholarships to support postgraduate student attendance at the NZAIA 2022 conference. Applicants should be students in a New Zealand tertiary education institution with an interest in impact assessment (e.g. current or recent course in IA; current or recent IA research, etc.).
The successful applicants will receive a free conference registration, including the conference dinner.
NZAIA will reimburse reasonable travel and accommodation expenses - up to $500 on production of receipts.
Each recipient also gets a free one-year student membership of NZAIA.
Scholarship recipients in previous years have found the conference really valuable:
Successful applicants will be asked to assist with rapporteur duties over the two days of the conference, and will be expected to attend the NZAIA AGM at the end of day 1. They will also contribute a short written piece early in 2023, reflecting on aspects of the conference they found particularly interesting and useful. This will be posted on our website.

a short letter that outlines your interest in impact assessment (courses, research, etc.), any career aspirations you may have in the field of impact assessment, and how attending the NZAIA conference will be of benefit to you.
Please also indicate if you are receiving any other financial support to attend the conference.
