New Zealand Association for Impact Assessment (NZAIA) is offering up to three scholarships to support postgraduate student attendance at the EIANZ 2023 conference.
Successful applicants will assist with the impact assessment stream at the conference (Transformative environmental leadership for Impact Assessment in the Pacific region) and will be welcome to attend the pre-conference Pacific day being organised in association with the Secretariat for the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP). After the conference, we ask scholarship students to prepare a short commentary for the NZAIA online newsletter and website, and there may also be an opportunity to co-edit a conference-based issue of our online periodical Impact Connector.
Applicants for the scholarships should be students in a New Zealand tertiary education institution with an interest in any form of impact assessment (IA) (e.g. current or recent course in IA; current or recent IA research, etc.). We particularly welcome applications from students with an interest in Pacific IA practice and Pasifika students interested in impact assessment.
The successful applicants will receive a student registration at the EIANZ conference, and attendance at the welcome event and the conference dinner.
NZAIA will reimburse reasonable travel and accommodation expenses for out-of-town students - up to $800 on production of receipts.
Each recipient also receives a free one-year student membership of NZAIA.
Scholarship recipients in previous years have found the conference really valuable:
